Planning

3D scan & digital building twin

Using Building Information Modeling (BIM), ecoworks makes the entire renovation process much more effective. BIM helps to standardize and automate planning, manufacturing and execution. The facade and roof elements, pipelines and other building components to be manufactured in the factory must be precisely planned and manufactured for the existing property. The starting point is a three-dimensional, millimetre-accurate measurement of the building's condition using a laser scan and a resulting point cloud. With the help of this point cloud, the 3D building model is created as a digital twin of the building. This model forms the basis for rapid and cost-effective planning and execution of the renovation project.

Production

Prefabrication in the factory

With prefabrication, we move up to 80% of the work from the construction site to the factory. This makes renovation capacity available and construction times can be significantly reduced. Our factory-made facade modules already contain insulation, windows, summer insulation and ventilation. In addition, a large part of the required building services can be integrated into the facade as required. A scalable and available solution requires strong supply chains. Our partners are among the largest timber construction and prefabricated building manufacturers in Europe. With their help, we guarantee short logistics routes to all federal states in Germany.

Assembly

Assembly on site

The completed facade and roof elements as well as a photovoltaic system and an air-water heat pump are installed on the construction site within a few weeks. We work with specially trained teams to ensure the highest quality and reliability. The high level of prefabrication enables tenant-friendly renovation while occupied.

Building operation

Climate-neutral building operation

Prefabrication in the factory provides significant quality advantages to reduce future operating and maintenance costs. In addition, we are demonstrably achieving higher energy efficiencies in operation, from low temperature capability to the NetZero standard. If the NetZero requirements are met, the building is considered greenhouse gas neutral. The buildings can then generate the energy required for heating, hot water and household electricity themselves in an afterstate.
