Wiesbaden 2.0: The Next Stage of Serial Renovation Has Started

Wiesbaden 2.0: The Next Stage of Serial Renovation has started
In Wiesbaden, we are entering the second round of serial renovation. Together with GWW Wiesbadener Wohnbaugesellschaft mbH, we are currently delivering a project that demonstrates how effective serial renovation can be even in complex existing buildings.
Serial renovation in a challenging existing building
The residential complex on Prießnitzstraße presents high demands on planning and execution. Distinctive stair towers, elevator overruns extending above the roof, and building heights ranging from five to eight storeys define the architecture. This diversity makes the project particularly challenging—and at the same time exemplary for the further development of serial renovation.
Preparatory work on the existing facade is currently underway. This work lays the foundation for the upcoming installation of our prefabricated facade system.
A significant upgrade for 90 residential units
Built in 1975, the complex comprising 90 residential units will undergo a substantial qualitative and energy-related upgrade. The building is improved from energy efficiency class E to A+ and reaches the Efficiency House 55 standard.
This is achieved through the combination of serial facade and services renovation, heat pumps, and photovoltaic systems. As a result, final energy demand is reduced by 87 percent and CO₂ emissions by approximately 75 percent.
More than energy efficiency
In addition to the energy upgrade, the project also improves living quality. New balcony systems and refurbished building entrances contribute to the creation of future-proof housing—efficient, high-quality, and implemented with minimal disruption for residents.
Trust as the foundation for progress
We would like to thank GWW for their continued trust and close cooperation. This project once again demonstrates that even complex existing buildings can be renovated serially, efficiently, and to a high standard—making an important contribution to the climate-neutral transformation of the building stock.
